<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Vince Carter's flight into town was delayed yesterday, forcing him to miss the media availability sessions for East and West stars. Despite his absence, which was excused by league officials, Carter was a hot topic of discussion as Nets president Rod Thorn continued his efforts to move his All-Star guard by Thursday's trading deadline.
The Nets aren't interested in continuing to pay Carter "max money," and they know he'll be looking to move on to Orlando this summer when he can opt out of his contract. By trading him by the deadline, they can dictate where he goes.

i wonder where he wiill go, i'm thinking to orlando for hill and others, maybe miami but miami we wouldn't get much back, and the reason i think miami may make a run for him is because they are the oldest team in the league they have to win now, plus if he leaves they will then have cap, clippers are still in talk

I thought Thorn said he isn't giving VC up? It will be very intresting to see where he winds up by this Thursday.

Well, I wouldn't mind trading VC if we get the right pieces back, like a high first round pick in this year's draft, some expiring contracts so that we can sign a new guy in the summer and maybe a prospect or a decent big man.

Watching TNT yesterday, David Aldridge said he expects VC the one to be traded before Kidd.
