He got hit on the side, which is never pleasant, but didn't hear any pop. The MRI showed a grade 1 sprain (torn fibers in the medial collateral ligament), so he'll be Tim Walsh's best buddy for the next two to four weeks.

At least he's a pro now, he figures.

"I'm welcome now. I'm official now," CDR said. "But I'm a fast healer. I heal fast. I'm confident in Tim Walsh and the rehab."

That was no ordinary virus: Trenton Hassell has Bell's Palsy, which any google will tell you is a paralysis of the facial nerve - is face is sagging, but he looks fine otherwise.

The annoying part: "Just the (left) eye, not being able to close it regularly all the way," he said. "Other than that, my face (muscles) can't move."

Which means he has to walk around with an eyedropper to keep his eye lubricated.

His conditioning is fine, though: He was back at full contact yesterday, actually running the point for the second unit because Keyon Dooling was excused (personal reasons) from practice again. KD expects to be back for the Pistons game.

wow where the hell in New Jersey to you pick up Bell's Palsy? (alley oop this)

You know your franchise is depressing when your player injures his knee, is out for a month, and now thinks that "he's made it."

Haha bells palsy? my brother had that like 2 years ago..

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO !!!!

Kiki go see what Patrick Ewing Jr. can do for those 2-4 weeks.

as a great man known simply as Dumpy once said: "2 players will suck, 2 will be injured"
