Sounds like Blazers inching closer to a deal. Nothing imminent, but team has 2 deals they like and believe 1 could happen soon ...

Rumors have everyone from David Lee to Andre Miller ... but nothing confirmed yet and nothing tonight

Anyone see this yet, or hear anything?

Inching closer but not imminent? Does that make sense?

If it's not Adrian Wojnorowski (sp?), I wouldn't put too much stock into it just yet. The man has been on fire this summer.

Let me guess, Brandon might sign an extension, but nothing is imminent?

If I had to guess, I would say Kirk could be on his way to Portland.

Kirk putting up his suburban Chicago house up for sale is an indication that he's going somewhere.

Really he's putting his house up for sale?

I swear to god if KP gets Kirk he is the dumbest GM in the NBA. GET MILLER!

I'm with you. Hinrich > Miller (for the Blazers anyway)

Penetration's nice, but I think the Blazers prefer the long ball.

If we are making an offer for Miller, Hinrich aint coming. That's too bad, but Miller is a big step up for us as well

Higher career scoring average: Miller (the guy who "can't shoot')

Higher career assist average: Miller

Injuries: Hinrich missed 31 games last season; Miller has missed 5 *in his career*.

Yes, Hinrich can swing over and guard SGs, and Miller can't. There is little appreciable difference in their ability to guard PGs.

Hinrich (being more of a combo guard) can play off the ball. That means we will be in the exact same position as last season whenever Roy is on the bench - no playmaker.

But hey...god forbid we should have someone on the team who looks to set up his team-mates, instead of hanging around the three-point line!

I'd be happy to land either Miller or Hinrich.

However, I totally disagree with you characterization of Hinrich as a non-distributor who doesn't set up his teammates. Last year, with Derick Rose running the point, Hinrich's APG and AST% were both way down from his previous years.

In 2007-08, the last year Hinrich ran the point, his AST% was 30.9 and his AST/36 was 6.8. Last season, Miller's AST% was 30.2 and his AST/36 was 6.5. So, it looks to me like Hinrich, when running the point is just as good at distributing the ball and setting up his teammates as Miller.

Please, stop making sense. We just need somebody to stand and wait for Roy to kick it out to them or swing the ball around the arc. Afterall, that is what this team needs. :dunno:

Better career defensive rating: Hinrich.

Guy who is 5 years younger than Andre Miller: Hinrich.

Better three point shooter by nearly 20%: Hinrich

Better turnover rate for career: Hinrich.

This is fun.

As usual, if I had to guess, nothing is going to happen.

...so, what is the "other" deal that C.Ford is eluding to???
