Rap and other forms of secular music, which his parents had highly opposed in their household, became very appealing to the young Hakeem Seriki. .</div>From wikipedia :dunno: anyway, sign me up for the Fan Club :happy0144:

it's only fitting for the dude with a the screen name of one of his nicknames to post in this threadand dude nba dogmaist, that is the dumbest statement I've ever read, you are putting rappers into a sterotype, they don't have to be hood to be a rapper, he has never once claimed that he was gangster sells drugs or have been shot, if you want fake look to the west coast and to a rapper that is named the game lol

I'm in, you should also start a T.I. and Yung Joc fan club too. I'd be in that.

Yung Joc?!?!, his bi*ch ass doesn't even deserve a club.

this brings a tear to my eye lol....I remember when I was at other message boards trying to hype him up when he was still an unknown people would talk sh*t and say mike jones is better and sh*t like that, now 2 years later people are making a fan thread and I had nothing to do with it lolbefore I go.....chamillitary mayne

Ha, I used to listen to him a lot. Before he even made it big or songs where on the Radio. My fav Rapper now and for ever.

I never actually knew about him until my brother showed me Ridin on iTunes. Then I got really into his music, got the Sound of Revenge, now I have branched out and I have most of his mixtapes, songs where he does collabs with people, and the collab CD with Paul Wall "Get Ya Mind Correct". He is my favorite rapper by far. I love almost every song he does.

Ive been listening to him for years before most knew about him. I got real into his underground stuff in Huston with 50/50 twin and z-ro and them.

have any of y'all heard the new single??? I don't like it that much, I hope the album has better stuff cause I don't really like this song<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Chamillionaire Announces First Single; Retires His GrillMonday - January 29, 2007 Houston rapper Chamillionaire announced Monday (January 29) that the first single from his highly anticipated sophomore album will be "Not A Criminal" featuring Nas' wifey, Kelis. The Styalz Fuego-produced single will be the first off Ultimate Victory, which will be released through the rapper's Chamillitary Entertainment/Universal Motown. According to the rapper, the track is somewhat of a therapeutic song about the prejudices he receives for his success. "People treat you like you committed a crime when you speak the truth about what's really on your mind," confesses Chamillionaire. "People act like its wrong to have an opinion about things, especially when your views are different than theirs. "I feel like setting the goal to be a successful entrepreneur should be looked at as a good thing and should not come with all the unnecessary hate and resistance. The business world can be a cruel place and even though I work hard at being successful and staying on top of my business, some people will look at me like I'm a criminal because of it, when I'm actually just working hard, so my company can grow and I can remain successful," adds the rapper. "Even though one may have money through hard work, you still get judged and have to deal with prejudices and problems. I plan on doing what I feel is right for me and not worrying about anyone that feels otherwise." Cham is so frustrated with being looked at as criminal, that he is retiring his grill, so people will take him more seriously. "I need people to pay attention to what I have to say, instead of just staring at my mouth," explains the rapper. "I speak with a purpose and definitely want people to know that I'm not just some rapper with diamonds in his mouth. As soon as they get past the materialistic stuff and listen to the message on my album then I will feel like I have won." Following up last year's platinum plus debut, Chamillionaire says he plans to get more personal with his fans, sharing his feelings and experiences, as well as expressing his opinion on the good and bad things that come with fame and money, tension towards the South, to friendship, love, media, the industry, beef, politics and life. He has worked with a slew of hit making producers for Ultimate Victory including Three Six Mafia, Rick Rock, Play N Skillz, The Runners and JR Rotem, among others. And guest appearances can be expected by artists such as Busta Rhymes, Lil Wayne, Pimp C, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Slick Rick, and Devin The Dude. Currently, Cham is putting the final touches on the new album, which is slated for release in the spring 2007.</div>

Well getting rid of that grill is a strart to become a better rapper in a way at least.

Well riding dirty was one of the biggest pieces of crap I ever heard, and didn't listen to him after that.

His only good song on Sound of Revenge was Rain and Picture Perfect IMO. All of his stuff before that album though was sick.
