I like the "CheddasBlingBlong dot com" banner ad they have now.

Hard times at BBF? LMAO

Serves them right. It's sad (but deserved) how a solid poster like Hap/Dan could ultimately destroy a board that he poured his time and effort into.
 
Sad to say, because I know he posts here as well, but mgb reminds me of the guys playing violin in the movie Titanic while the ship is falling apart.

It started with him and avalanched into a disaster.

Cinco_de_Mayo was the person who exacerbated the situation and killed the board after his mod buddies took his side, but Hap/Dan let his personal feelings get in the way of his moderating and had great posters such as ABM banned as a result.

Hap/Dan didn't have ABM banned.

Yes, actually he did, by proxy and by his actions that led to ABM's banning.

Plus, he is in hiding now and hasn't followed the community he moderated, which is telling in and of itself.

I think this sums it up really.....end of thread?

Although I do agree that BBF sucks, from what little I have seen and heard. We have a ton of great posters here in the Blazer forum that came from there. Any site that would alienate an entire fan base has some serious problems. :crazy:

The ad I referenced earlier tells me that they are nearing a coma. They peaked and ran off their biggest fanbase. Bad move, but I told them this...

if bbf is nearing a coma, what is sportstwo? just checked now and one board has 55 members online while the other has 40. i'm sure you can guess which one is which.

Well, believe what you like. But you might want to consider that I was a mod at the time over there, so I might know a little bit more about what happened than you do.

That sums it up right there. No matter how good and active our community was, there were *some* mods who believed we just weren't important in the grand scheme of things. In fact, I suspect some of them were glad to be rid of us.

I submit that BBF is fudging their numbers. The game thread and its lack of posts, and the "Guest" numbers smell like fraud to me. I think we all checked out the board after this thread, and clearly BBF is keeping a cookie cache to inflate numbers.

Then you were a part of the problem as well. I also notice you taking a more biased stance on this board compared to your role of jester on the other board.

i think(if i'm mistaken here, then i'm not sure who said it) one of the admins here(denny crane) explained why he thought the guest numbers were inflated and it had nothing to do with fraud.

and i was talking about the entire site of bbf and the entire site sportstwo, not specifically the blazer forum. i still don't understand how some people can act as if other parts of the forums don't exist and that if the fans of a specific team who rarely post in the other sections of the forum leave, the whole place is just going to shut down.

It won't shut down, but the Blazer board was the most active board on that entire site. And Chubbysglodclub dot com or whatever they were "advertising" is simply hilarious to me. They bragged about their corporate sponsor, and now they have Flavor of Love rejects as key advertisers.
 
I see your point, but I find it hard to believe that you can't understand that the majority of Blazer fans could care less about the other forums. It's all about the 'Zers man. I myself wonder around, but most don't.
 
BBF has a grand total of 20 new threads since 12/12, and Gramps started 5 of them to let the stragglers know the the latest updates on the prediction thread.

Yet they have 3 members and 23 guests right now? BS.

oh i know. i just find it strange when people can't seem to see the difference between bbf and the blazers forum on bbf.
