PORTLAND, Ore. —Any time there's an urge to play revisionist history and lament trading LaMarcus Aldridge's draft rights for those of Tyrus Thomas in 2006, take a deep breath and remember this:

Who knows if the Bulls would've been in position to strike lottery gold and land Derrick Rose two years later?

Of course, such rationalization mattered little Monday night at the Rose Garden, where Aldridge's myriad talents were on full display in the Trail Blazers' 109-103 victory over the Bulls.

What? The Bulls aren't missing Bargiani? :ohno:

OUCH, to think they could of had him, they would be contending if they had Rose too.

They probably would have had Rose too... Aldridge was a late bloomer.

Da Bulls should just quite wining!

Short memories they have!

not even close to being even!

LA >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Boozer

now if we could trick chi in to sending us rose and noah for oden....

This is kind of interesting because I think a lot of people last year(me included) thought Boozer was the better PF due to his physicality. This year LaMarcus is bringing that physicality to his game, plus he has a considerable height advantage over Boozer and many other PFs.

Not like they're not good enough to contend as is. With Noah they're a great team. A great team with flaws (Bogans, bench), but a great team nonetheless.

Not sure about "great." They've proven nothing yet.

Bulls fan since I was born, but I'm not gonna lie, Derrick Rose in the Rose Garden has a ring to it. Ahh, the possibilities on the wordplay.

I'd put us in the second tier behind the Heat, Celtics, Spurs and Lakers. They're definitely a great defensive team. The offense is still very 2D.

Yeah, that's where I'd put them also. Not quite elite, but a very good team.
