This is Xi spouting off like Kim Jong Un....it's thee safe way to say he fears military conflict with the Pacific alliance and in reality, can't afford a war anyway
 
I like tha theory that he's setting up taking Taiwan as a distasteful strategy. So he'll look more powerful by leaving Taiwan alone.

This is smart on his behalf.

America does like to flex on other nations, and we've been the lone super-power for decades so no one could say boo. But our dominance is slipping. Nobody wants war with us, but if all out war starts with Russia or China I think Americans will be very surprised at the cost.

I suppose our leaders are not so different than all the other leaders in history, in trying to be supreme. But this game is always played at the cost of the rest of us. I've often gotten the feeling that the elite in the US want to start WW3 in a way that will make it look like someone else's fault.
 
We have a strong Pacific Alliance with many countries that surround China and it's ports...China can't survive without it's shipping lanes. They know this. China is in bad shape right now. None of their neighbors trust them and they are pushing at the borders of northern India who also have nukes. China is famous for sabre rattling and retreating.

This sort of flippant attitude seems to affecting our leaders as well. Assuming Russia is bluffing, China will back down. But no one will win WW3. There's the old saying, ww4 will be fought with sticks and stones.

Your fantasy of a dystopian future is not based in any sense of reality. I think you sensationalize the geopolitical landscape with your paranoia but I’ve told you before we need not discuss anything here so just avoid engaging my posts. harsh as it seems I don’t value your opinions. Tiger trout are the best.
A cross between brown and brook trout.

Tiger trout grow larger than most trout from their brown trout half, and have a better flavor due to a higher oil content of the brook trout.

But the best trout is, the one you caught today.

I remember when the left was anti-war, and wanted to work at fostering peace, now look at what you've become. So easily manipulated.

That's why I grew to despise the left. You value weakness individually and reckless brutality as a collective.

Weakness like begging the US to kowtow to Russia out of blatant fear?

I can't imagine living in such a fear based world that I would encourage people to let innocence be violated by a ruthless and corrupt force while quaking in my boots....

You're too dense to understand that western intervention not only sparked the conflict but has prolonged it. The threat of you and your family being wiped out by a nuclear war is just a special bonus.

You're sure responding to me a lot for having me on ignore. I don't know what "white dude video game rage" is. But does it cause you to support engaging in behavior that could end civilization? That's what operating under the "China/Russia would never..." assumption is. You only get to be wrong about that once.

No, Russia is 100% at fault here. As has been proven to you over and over. Russia has broken all of the agreements they made and benefited from. Ukraine and the West have broken none.

The threat of you and your family being wiped out by a nuclear war is just a special bonus.

The threat of nuclear war is always there. It's not going anywhere. That doesn't mean we should stand idly by as every asshole that has nukes rapes, pillages, and plunders whoever they desire.

That's the whole reason we have have invested so heavily in not only military power, but soft power as well.
