Trump is going to continue to place military officials in his cabinet so our armed forces will back him in the war.
 
The good news is that Free Republic mutters about civil war any time something they don't like (like the assassination of Antonin Scalia) happens and it has yet to come to fruition.

The bad news is that, having read their posts on the subject, they truly are tactical geniuses and if they did decide to take over, I'm not sure what the US armed forces could do about it. The US armed forces might even join their side, from what I've read.

I really doubt the armed forces would intervene in a Grand Jury investigation or a trial if it came to that. You are absolutely right, they threatened civil war every 2 weeks when during the Obama Presidency.

If the Democrats can do that while Republicans control all 3 branches of government and most states, then they're a lot more fucking competent than I give them credit for.

Also: if they can do that, then there's no point to doing it, because you can hold the real levers of power without someone from your party in the White House. Why not let Trump take the heat while you control the country?

According to these types of people, Republicans and Democrats are on the same side. Trump was the one golden child who could end their rule.
 
The people tweeting and posting about a "civil war" are as likely to actually do anything if something happens to Trump as an NBA player is actually going to get into a real fight on the court. Instead it'll be an NBA fight, lots of talking and some shouting and nothing happens.

It seems to me that the revolution has already begun. We have had attempts to bring down the President before, we have had crimes investigated before, but at least there was a crime committed before investigations began. The difference now is, we have investigations in search of a crime, that no one can find, except that Trump won.

Never before has the Constitution been so completely ignored, not only by the left, but also those that identify themselves as the establishment. I see no grounds for having a special
counsel empowered to investigate uninhibited and answerable to no one, answerable to the American people.
"The executive Power shall be vested in a President of the United States of America. He shall hold his Office during the Term of four Years..." Whatever you call the current state, it can not fit
under this clear statement in the Constitution. There is nothing to clear up, the Constitution is clear, an election has selected the Chief Executive for four years.

Any people that do not accept this as lawful, are unlawful. Unlawfulness must have consequences.

Warfare doesn't look like it did 150 years ago. We don't line up and march towards each other while we trade shots.

These morons have no idea what they're even talking about. What would they do? March on Washington? Start detonating roadside bombs? I'll say the same thing to them that I say to the people that liked to "protest" after Trump was elected: what's your end game? Overthrow the Government? Kill Democrats? There has to be some kind of long term goal. If you do succeed in overthrowing the Government, then what? I can guarantee they will find way more people fighting back if they think they're going to install some kind of Christian regime.

We have a mechanism for regime change: elections. Bring it on.
