I think this is brilliant by CJ, get that big broadcast career started while your perspective is still as an active player... it's smart. As the President of the NBAPA his takes on what specific players are doing or bringing to the games will have to be very bland, diplomatic or have an outright optimistic bias. If he's seen as having an adverse affect on a player's value that would be a very bad look for the head of the union. I think it would be really cool if he was just a player apologist. Someone that always tries to see things from the perspective of the player that the other analysts are criticizing.

Whatever his approach is, I'm sure it will be brilliant. Dude has always had his eye on this and now he's getting a head start.

I agree while in the position he has to stay away from SAS type statements or becoming Barkley on the set. I don't think that would be his role or would want to go there. CJ seems to be pretty measured when speaking.

His podcast has always been top shelf intelligent work...he's not prone to getting overly excited ..impressive young man.
