The opposite of the Blazers.
Help me out, what am I looking for here?

You are saying the Wiz played their young players more than the Blazers played theirs. Looking at the minutes from both teams, I don't see much of a difference. Unless you are talking about our young players, no one cares about.
looking at MPG, their top two are young players. Three of their top 5 are part of their young core.

Meanwhile you have Portland where Simons and Grant occupy two of the top three spots. Scoot and Deni should be a lot higher.

I would put Deni above all three. Do you not count him as a young player though?Washington's top 3 young players: 33, 30, 27
Portland's top 3 young players: (Sharpe Tou, Scoot) 33, 32, 27

Difference is Washington dumped Kuzma at the deadline. We have Grant until 2028.I do, I just wasn't sure you did.
Deni 30-minute game.
You got to admit it is pretty damn close between the two teams in terms of minutes for our young cores.

Other vet Washington has was just sent packing in Poole. CJ probably is gone before camp but if not certainly by the deadline.
I mean yeah we dumped Ant - but we brought in Jrue on a $100 million deal and are leaving Shae/Scoot both benched. In Washington those two would've been starters last year - likely leading the team in minutes as well as key offensive roles.
Typically, doing the opposite of Washington is a great thing to strive for.The opposite of the Blazers.
Last year Kuzma is listed with those mpg - but he wasn't on the team the last half of the season.we're just talking about last year, Blazers versus wiz in terms of giving their top young players minutes.
next year is a different story where we don't know who's gonna be on the team.

That wizards teams last year had pretty bad young talent. They had to give somebody minutes. We had CJ Elleby type of scrubs starting for 28 games the first year we were tanking.
But last year Scoot getting benched when he was playing great - and similar where Clingan was stuck under 20mpg - were both pretty stupid for a team supposedly rebuilding around its youth. Although the way we've pivoted to spending over a 100 million on a 35 year old makes it seem like that supposed youth movement was never truly a prime goal of this franchise at any time.
CJ Elleby started 28 games for us while Scoot started 10 last season. Thats the roles that just haven't made sense with this franchise since Cronin took over.
