I do not see a need for him. Just was not for sure if there was any other info out there explaining the absence on Yahoo since he was there earlier and it makes sense to drop his contract.

He's been practicing for days with our Summer League team. Woj announced he'd been cut 40 hours before the first game.

Maybe the reason that Olshey cut Alexander then, was to do him a favor by not playing him under false pretenses...in other words, so that Alexander's agent could find him the SL team where he'd have the best chance to get a contract.
