I don't care how bad he's shooting, I don't care what his shooting percentage is for the night, I will always feel comfortable with Dame taking the last shot.

He failed in reg, he wasn't going to fail again. The numbers are with him

It's funny, people were always saying "If his shot isn't falling, get to the line" and now he was getting to the line when it wasn't falling, and they say he still stinks.
I never doubted this game... what a gutsy effort!!
I wish I could hear the Wheels call on this one....
But sorry that Detriot's 17 fans went home disappointed....
You've noticed that too? The guy shot 11 free throws. That's HUGE. That's superstar level.

Detroit call (listen to the crowd collectively groan)
Kyle Singler almost hit that full court shot too (even though it wouldn't have counted)![]()
Rice's call on the replay makes no sense... Lillard never lost control, and it sure didn't look like he "tossed it up."

THat detroit feed is awesome. The groan is so loud!
I still laugh when I almost see that ball go in for Detroit.. It'd just be the NBA if the clock never started and somehow that counted.
I love how the Blazers celebrate like they just won a preseason game.
This team is dope. They know how good they are.
It's impossible to shoot a jumpshot with less than .4 (The Derek Fisher rule).
He thought the refs were going to bail him out. Lesson learned. You can't expect the refs to bail you out with the game on the line.
Am I the only person who saw the whole wrist being hit on his last shot in regulation? I slowed it down and watched it three times.
I don't expect the refs to bail him out, but why drive to the basket when the game is on the line if they are going to swallow their whistle? I guess it is better to be jump shooters after all.
It's a learning experience. He's had success driving with the game on the line. What was that game at home when he just walked through the paint and layed it in? Indy maybe?
I just think he has to realize that he's not going to get a call on a last shot. That's why driving is such a bad idea. A team would have to truly mug you for a call to happen.
Actually, I think that was the PHX game, IIRC.
I just watched the highlights on NBA.com and Dame is lucky he didn't an offensive foul on that drive before the first OT. The guy he ran into was clearly outside the circle and he had his feet set. Dame could have VERY easily gotten an offensive foul on that one.
