Politics Colorado Supreme Court Rules Trump is Ineligible to Appear on Ballot Due to 14th Amendment

That's a bit like kicking Biden off the Wyoming ballot isn't it? At any rate I'm sure Trump's supreme court will agree with this decision...

This is my prediction:

In a very oddly written 5-4 decision, the Supreme Court will rule that Trump should be on the Colorado ballot. There will be a giant legalese word salad that states since Trump is no longer in office, he is not bound by the 14th Amendment. They will intentionally not make mention of the fact that Trump has not been convicted of insurrection.

This will immediately cause Texas, Florida, Arizona, Georgia, and other red states to file to keep Biden off the ballot. This will be based on Biden's currently in office, he is not defending the southern border, and that is an insurrection by the President against all citizens of the United States.

The SC will decline to hear any appeals since their decision on the Trump ban covers it.

So you’re saying Democrats setting new precedents by intentionally misinterpreting the law could once again backfire on them?

Trump is also urging the SC to not expedite Prosecutor Jack Smith's claim that Trump doesn't get immunity from being president. Trump wants to push it off, so he can get elected, and then shut it all down.

I really would agree with Biden being removed from all the ballots if Trump was banned for life from holding public office or better yet, exiled from the US to Russia. Clear the slate and run a fresh election with some candidates that are willing to put the people first and party last.

Marjorie Taylor Greene says Biden's border policy amounts to "insurrection," and thus he should be removed from the 2024 presidential ballot.

Trump has not been charged or convicted on insurrection.
actually the Colorado Supreme court has ruled on his insurrection and stated clearly why he's booted according to the 14th amendment. It's in writing and this is not the Jack Smith case at all. I understand 16 states are looking into removing him from their ballots for the 14th amendment which means they find him guilty of conspiracy to overthrow an election on the state level...the federal charges have not been resolved but these are State courts.

The next step will probably be come dem convention to nominate someone other than Joe.

I think it will get overturned by the Supreme Court unless he's federally charged with insurrection. We'll see.

The Supreme Court is gonna take a dump on trump.

the establishment has moved on and want Haley

I think you see why this is a bad idea then. If the judicial system gets to kick off politicians it doesn't like by just saying, "They engaged insurrection".

It's clear that we've crossed some kind of Rubicon in our country, in that the department of justice is now active politically. And it's been brought to us by the Democreeps. The same party that keeps lamenting about how things are "threats to our democracy" turn around and do stuff like this.

The establishment was never on Trump’s side, they’ve been trying to kneecap him since before he was even elected. And yes, Nikki Haley is an establishment hack. She’s Hillary Clinton.

You really missed the Trump/Bill Barr connection during the last administration?? Or is it just the Republican art of willful ignorance? Either way it's pathetic. You need to broaden your informational horizons........
