Heck, even if it's BS give us forum fans something fun to discuss, some little ray of hope of some changes, you make us feel like nothing at all is or will happen. Rich, are you in town?

He isn't KP.
He isn't going to give you any scoop.
And that is most likely by design rather than personal style.
Vulcans were tired of that shit and have put a stop to it.

Yes, the Vulcans were tired of 50-win seasons and sold out arenas, so they fired the GM who made the team relevant again, and replaced them with a guy who needed to be led around on a leash by Larry Miller during his introductory interviews after being hired. Putting in puppets isn't necessarily a bad idea, but when the puppeteers have no clue what they are doing, the performance typically won't end well.

Jamal Crawford was just mentioned yesterday. There was the rumor.

Trying to make a trade to make Roy happy. That was yesterday by Quick.

I think what you want is a rumor that doesn't want to make you slit your wrists

I heard we were a late addition to the Nets/Melo trade talks that is why it cooled back off.

What sort of late addition? And how did that cool it off?

I think there are real stylistic differences between KP and Cho. We're not as likely to hear scoop. With KP, we always heard about things after they were dead.

I checked the websites the guy I was talking to said he saw this rumor and I found nothing. I asked him again where he saw it and he admitted he was just messing with me. Sorry about that.

I'd love to see Cho try to leverage his way into this deal and somehow pry Harris from the Nets by offering to sweeten things up for the Nuggets.

Are you criticizing the Vulcans for firing the GM that is entirely responsible for the roster that everyone here is now freaking out over?

If CHO doesn't do anything, this season is already over as we will barely get over 30 wins.

Something needs to be done for sure, but what deal can Cho make that will change anything for this year? It's not like we have the assets to acquire a difference maker.

The same roster did OK last season. Plus, Bayless is gone, if you hadn't noticed.

Counting the games Bayless would have won for us is like trying to count the stars.

As for Cho, I'll wait 2 more months till the trade deadline before getting on his case.

Isn't giving rumors part of Quick's job? He doesn't give us shit. The Bayless trade came out of nowhere, I'm not sure he's ever given any breaking news.

People within the organization just don't like him.

Now we have Roy's knees to deal with. Something that KPee was well aware of when he signed him.

Thats cool that that KPee brought us from lottery to 1st round playoff team, but now are hands are tied because of him.

So, Bayless would have won us countless games? lol.

I thought that Kpee was pulled off of the Roy negotiations? Wasn't that the CW when Kpee got fired?

I'm with the OP, I don't really want any trades per se, but I demand rumors and the illusion of movement!!

Is it a bad sign if even rumored trades are bad?

It's his job to find rumors, even if he has to sneak into Canzano's bedroom and listen to rumors he's dreaming up for tomorrow's column.

The thread title should be, Come on Oregonian make up a trade rumor at least!

I am starting to wish that every team made at least 1 trade every year. That would make it more interesting for me.

If we're not going to challenge for a deep run in the playoffs, I think Cho would likely trade players that are producing (Miller, Camby, Przy) for future potential. In other words, this team will likely see more losses if Cho does make some trades.

That's what I am and have been advocating, we will go nowhere this year, make the best moves possible for the next several years.
