Comedian Billy Connolly diagnosed with Parkinson's, undergoes cancer surgery

Actor, comedian and singer Billy Connolly has been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in addition to the prostate cancer he underwent surgery for in August.

Connolly’s website disclosed Monday that he “has been assessed as having the initial symptoms of Parkinson’s disease, for which he is receiving the appropriate treatment.”

The 70-year-old Scottish entertainer also recently underwent “minor surgery in America after being diagnosed with the very early stages of prostate cancer,” his website says.

“The operation was a total success, and Billy is fully recovered.”
