[Opal]

So last night I was messing around in Photoshop when the computer just shut off. The on button started to flash yellow so I turned off the power outlet, waited about 10 minutes, then turned it back on. It started flashing again. I held on the button and it turned on. The first time it right when it ended having the windows logo thing with the loading bar it turned black and was just frozen.So I turned it off and the yellow started flashing. I did that same thing again and this time it went into the the login screen and I logged in using the keyboard arrows like always, then I realized the mouse wasn't working. I checked everything and it was plugged it, batteries were fine and everything. Also, the bottom bad wasn't working. So I decided to turn off the outlet and go to sleep.Today, I turned the outlet back on and the yellow didn't flash. I thought that was good until nothing would turn on at all. Nothing was flashing or anything. Any ideas?

well it could be a number of things. You powersupply might be ganked - that would explain it turning itself off etc. that could also explain the mouse not working....there might not be power getting to the usb port that yout wireless mouse's reciever.

Sorry, I'm not too much of a wizz at this, what does doubling the power supply mean?

well im not sure about doubling it is going to do, I have never tried it. But the powersupply is a remevable component on your computer.. They commonly die- get overloaded with dust and just get too old. I suspect that raptorfan might have been sugesting that you get a more powerful one?

I think this is what happened to my brother. He got a new supply and it still didn't work...

I've got no idea... maybe risk it and buy a new power supply.I hate computer problems...Join me in tear~

yeah it is a risk, but a powersupply is cheaper than getting a tech to sort it out. If your not sure onhow to replace it then your better off getting a tech to look at it anyway. Pretty sure its a Hardware failure

It should be a big black plug on the back of your computer near the top.. and just open your computer and take out whatever it connects to.Don't take my word though.
