<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">November 22, 2005 -- NET NOTES OAKLAND ? It's official. The Nets are now worried about the status of Jason Collins.
"I'm concerned. You know how valuable he is," coach Lawrence Frank said of Collins, who sat out last night's game against the Warriors with pain in his lower right leg.

"It's a concern because it's the land of uncertainty. You just hope it's not a lingering thing. He's as tough a guy as we have or have ever had. So if he's unable to go, it's a concern."

Collins missed most of preseason strengthening his surgically repaired right knee. When pain flared in his leg, it was thought to be compensation for the knee. Then it was thought to be back-related. Tests, including a second MRI Sunday, have been negative, but the problem persists.

"I don't know what the problem is. It's been knee, potentially back, an impingement," Frank said.

Collins sat for the third time in five games ? missing half of the other two. He remains in the dark about his return because extended time off hasn't helped. And he is against shutting it down for a long stretch.

"When I feel good, I'll play. It's a matter of when the leg and everything calms down and feels good," said Collins. "It's frustrating. You wish you could just take a magic pill or something." </div>
