Could the Yankees trade for Beltre?

...a few people have brought up Beltre...Gregorius, Stanton, Smardjia et al, too.

I hate sounding redundant but I've still got this feeling that I guy named Rodriquez will be playing 3rd base for the Yankees next season.

If Manny can mea culpa, so can Alex. Although he is gonna see a lot of DH.

Who...? I don't recall a ballplayer by that name. I thought Pudge retired, and was a Catcher.

Are you referring to that Bio-Geneis test dummy? I never knew he played baseball...!

No way they risk letting him go. If he succeeds in being clean and wins the PR battle, he's got some big milestones coming up.

It will be very interesting once he breaks some of those mile stones, as to the crowds reception, acceptation or I bet rejection.

Perhaps the Yanx need to conjure up the Reggie Bar and hand them out at ballgames next year. Or allow other projectiles for games, when milestones may be broken.... !!!

to be honest, at one time I was as much a A-Roid fan (quit awhile ago), knowing before his career was over, he would own every offensive catagory stat, less stolen bases. Now we have known he's not been clean for a decade or more, all those hits, HR's, RBIs, et al. No longer mean much, and I've discounted a good portion of them, making his milestone efforts meaningless.

I'd expect this mentality to be the norm in NY. Any thoughts...?

Honestly Rob I just don't see anyone being very appreciative of his tainted accomplishments if he should reach any of the up coming milestones.

I can just hear the Steins sending A-rod music grams of Ray Charles singing Hit The Road Jack which old ego seeking A-rod will take to mean Dean Martins Return To Me. I'd be willing to bet that the Yankees are seeking to block all avenues a reappearance.

Then why didn't they do it right away when popular opinion was to their greatest advantage? The longer the wait, the greater the "wait and see" business strategy.

Yup, either you're paying off his contract and telling him to get lost or you're going to have him play and earn his money.

He's 35 years old, has already missed 14 games this season due to injuries & is making 17M. He's due 18M next season & has an option in 2016 for another 16M at which time he'll be 37.

His production seems to already be on the decline so GG 3rd baseman or not I don't think he'll be worth the money in the coming years. JMO.
