Cruz Pedregon topped Funny Car qualifying with a track-record performance Friday in the NHRA Summernationals at Heartland Park Topeka.
Pedregon had a 4.046-second run at 315.56 mph in his Toyota Camry to better both ends of the Funny Car track record. Bob Tasca III was second at 4.062 and 315.56 in a Shelby Ford Mustang.
