Holy cow!

Since Cleveland just won an NBA title, I'm pulling for the Cubs. Of course, like most people of the 80's, I grew up watching Cubs and Braves games on WGN and (w)TBS.

Next year maybe the Mariners and Padres can make it.

Harry Carey used to drink a beer an inning. By the 9th, he was sloshed.

The city loved him, still does.

Can't like this post enough! Go cubbies:)

My mother was a die hard Cubs fan all her life...wish she'd lived to see this....she'd be smiling! I've always wanted to go to a ballgame at Wrigley Field...someday..On my bucket list

When that foul ball started to go into the stands in the 9th inning, I'm sure I was not the only one holding my breath.

Normally American League fan but going with Cubbies. Cleveland had their chance not that long ago, at least within living memory. And they decided to wear their racist caps in postseason instead of their generic C caps. Still trying to claim the caricature is an "honor".

Not even looking at the "controversial" aspect of it, I've always thought it was just the ugliest, dumbest logo on Earth.

Caricature of Obama vs. Caricature of Indian.

Hmmm.... reaching I suppose.

Shit eventually every mascot is going to be banned; I identify as a blue human! therefor this cub logo is demeaning to me!!

Kluber is mowing down the Cubs and made history in the first 3 innings. He kind of reminds me of Greg Maddux with his great pitching control.

Never heard of him but his pitches moved all over the place when I watched a few minutes earlier.

Had game on during phone bank, not optimum for watching!

So - Hillary supporters are Cubs fans. Not sure if coincidence or some mystical connection.

I'd guess that 90% of Americans outside of Cleveland are Cubs fans this year. It would be fun to see the "curse" get broken.

Nope. Just makes them front runners. I'd be willing to bet that most people who are rooting for the Cubs right now haven't watched a baseball game in years. It's great that people are caught up in the story, but let's not pretend like most of the people rooting for Chicago are diehard Cubs fans.

I can't speak for everyone but it was clear that quite a few people had some Chicago ties and those, at least the ones keeping one eye on the screen, did to some degree follow baseball.

Oi, calling Arizona, many Spanish speakers, trying to GOTV in my rudimentary Spanish while watching the World Series.
