Interesting! So I was at Easter dinner with my best friends family today, and their father, (one of my mentors) claims that his brother was D.B. Cooper. I was obviously hesitant at first, and we didn't get too deep into it, but he has some substantial evidence.. the main thing that is keeping me doubtful is that the FBI was aware that he should be a suspect. Idk. I'm going to dig a bit more and maybe swing by there on a non-holiday so we can discuss more of the specifics.

I still like the Robert Rackstraw theory.
His ex wife called in to the tip line every year when they would ask for more information, so I was told.Someone already on the known suspect list?
https://www.petfinder.com/dog/db-co...errer_id=c969c1ff-03fe-4333-9a5b-7834874a4ee6MAIN SUSPECTS:
Robert Rackstraw: Rackstraw was in the NW at the time of the highjacking. He was a paratrooper and pilot in Vietnam. He possessed the knowledge required for the jump, including the altitude and airspeed necessary to be able to jump out of the plane.
He closely resembled drawings of Cooper, though flight attendants couldn't identify him as Cooper.
A 1971 confession letter was decoded and thought to reveal units he was part of in the army.
He both claimed he was not Cooper and that he was, though said he just having fun. He has openly teased the FBI saying it couldn't be him because he was afraid of heights, that he couldn't commit one way or the other to being Cooper, and that it shouldn't be solved.
Duane Weber: Weber told his wife on his death bed, "I am Dan Cooper." His wife often recalled him having nightmares about "the aft stairs," talking his his sleep about he may have left prints there.
Weber made a trip to Tina Bar on the Columbia river in 1979. Months later some of the Cooper money was found there by a kid.
His wife supposedly found a plane ticket for the airline while going through her husband's belongings.
His wife checked out a book on DB Cooper from the local library only to find notes written in the margins in her husband's handwriting.
Kenneth Christiansen: He was a paratrooper and worked for the airline, making him familiar with the 727-51. He kept clippings about the airline until the hijacking. He told his sons before he died that he was DB Cooper.
Lynn Doyle Cooper: Cooper was a Korean war veteran. His niece recalled that he came home the day after the hijacking covered in blood, and was told alternatively that he was in an auto accident and a hunting accident. She calls hearing her uncle and father saying, "We did it," and something about a plane.
He was a fan of comic book hero Dan Cooper.
