Joel Przybilla, Blazers -- The hard hat on a roster full of feathered chapeaus, you couldn't ask for a better backup for Greg Oden. Some stat-heads have him as the most efficient rebounder in the league. Has accepted his minutes' fluctuating wildly while the team accommodates Oden's up-and-down development, yet still has managed to collect five double-doubles, one more than all last season. Another guy who has improved his free throw shooting (65 percent, career 54 percent) to keep himself on the floor at crunch time if needed.

Joel gets my vote for Blazers sixth man of the year -- no way we have as many wins as we do without him.

God, we are a bunch of feathered chapeaus. That's a beautiful way to describe us.

He really is the best guy we have coming off the bench this year. Rudy, Bayless and maybe even Outlaw have higher upside and are more fun to watch, but when you think about who contributes most to that second unit, it's got to be Przybilla.

He's looking even better this year because he isn't being forced to guard guys like Duncan and Yao for 30 minutes every night. When you come in and you are expected to "contain" guys like Diop or Brian Skinner for at least half the time you are out there, you've got lots of room to pad your stats with boards, blocks, and high percentage shots.

joel is a damn beast, if we ever desire to trade him, we will get one hell of a return.

Not exactly the term I come up with when thinking of Brandon. Brandon is more an old fedora.
