Does anyone else find this guy absolutely hilarious? I love his stand up and I crack up at everything he says. His delivery and gestures make him even funnier. He is definitely my favorite comedian and I was just wondering if any of you guys like him. Here is a pretty funny clip of him.
 
Yea he is a great comedian. I usually watch his clips 5 times over, because his jokes never seem to get old. It was hilarious when he talked about the first time he got head.

"I ripped my jeans like I was in the NBA". "Threw them sh*ts out the moonroof".
 
Not a big fan, but I liked his monopoly skit.
 
Idunno, I find him annoying now. Got bored of him after a while. Kinda like Carlos Mencia.

How dare you compare him to Menica. Carlos Mencia is the most obnoxious person to ever have their own television show.
 
Obviously he isn't that bad. But, with both of them, I just got bored with their outrageousness after a while.

I honestly find him to be disgustingly overrated and complete trash...........that's just me.......Employee of the Month was a good movie.

In the two videos you posted he said "sweating like shaq at the foul line" twice so he pretty much uses the same jokes as well...

Various comedians use the same material for different standups. In this case he only used a minor joke.

What I mean is, Mencia attempts to make different jokes with the same concept behind them. He always makes jokes about Mexicans and the only thing that changes is how he describes it.

There are only a certain number of times you can do that, before some people catch and start getting annoyed by it.

Mencia isn't even Mexican. Every time he says "Us are beaners blah blah blah" I just cringe. He's so fake.

Be that as it may Mencia makes a joke I laugh (not as much any more). Dane Cook makes a joke I just don't feel the same amount of funny. I don't know...
 
lmao, those 2 videos were hilarious, especially the second one. Hadnt heard of him before this topic, but i'll be sure to check out his other work now.

I hope you're fucking kidding with that last part. Mencia is easily the worst comic ever to become famous, he wasn't that bad back in the 90's but he just keeps saying the same **** over and over and over and over. All he does is say something that isn't very racy or out of the ordinary (especially not for a standup comedian) but he spends more time talking about how hes so edgy and how hes the only person who says stuff like that when hes not very edgy at all and not funny to boot. Plus he steals jokes from George Lopez and Ron White. To be honest, I liked the first season of Mind of Mencia even though it clearly looked like a Mexican (hes not Mexican either) version of Chappelle's Show, but after that he does the same stuff with standup where he keeps doing the same **** over and over.

Back on topic; I do enjoy Dane Cook quite alot, I think most of the people who hate him (that I know at least) are people who have barely heard him but are highly annoyed with his fans who repeat the jokes shittily and laugh like retards. Retaliation was hilarious for anyone who hasn't heard it and he was great on the Insomniac Tour (RENT THIS MOVIE IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN IT, its got great standup, fucking hilarious)
 
His material is one time funny. I like him, or rather liked him but not anymore. His two CD's and his new DVD are pretty much all the same. It's the same minuscule stuff, he just screams, yells, and prances around the stage a lot to give viewers that added emphasis into thinking he's a really great comic. He's got some nice jokes, but he makes them work because he's so loud. He couldn't tell them straight up, sitting in a chair.

A homeless man masterbating, while holding a bus hostage? I'm a fan of Chapelle but I don't like it when he makes up unrealistic jokes. For example, I remember he joked about a guy running from the cops, and then throwing his penis at him. Come on, are you serious? That's just plain stupid.
 
That's actually the worst part of that act. There were way funnier parts.

That MadTV skit had him down perfectly.

In my opinion Cook is better. I used to be a huge fan of Chapelle, but as time passed i got bored of him. I still enjoy some of his jokes but not as much.
