Unofficially was clocked at 4.34, but official time of 4.50. :dunno:

Josh Huff ran a 4.51.

Colt Lyerla ran a 4.61.

Other notables.

Brandin Cooks 4.33

Marquise Lee 4.52

Paul Richardson 4.40

Sammy Watkins 4.43

That's really surprising. What's the difference between the unofficial and official times? Where does the unofficial time come from?

I think its hand timed from someone who is there. Usually not that big of a gap between unofficial and official though
 
Not up on all things ducks . . . was there bad blood between either DAT or the Duck program when he decided to leave?
 
Josh Huff is faster then i thought. That should help his draft stock, he is a fifth/sixth round grade at the moment I believe.
I haven't heard anything about there being bad blood between DAT and the Ducks but Im not that informed on the subject either.

I'll speculate that the main reason he's turning pro is to earn a paycheck for his family. Iirc, he's the oldest of a bunch of kids raised by a single mom. I'll further speculate that he goes in the 3rd round to the Eagles

So they timed him at 4.34 on the first run, then 4.4 in the 2nd and his official time is 4.5? DAT is not a 4.5 runner. I don't know what the deal us, but I did notice his toes scrapped along the track pretty badly during his first two steps.

I watched a composite on NFL Network with Cooks/Janis/Watkins/Archer all superimposed. Cooks literally was 6" behind Archer at the end of the 40, yet his time was .07 slowers? Meanwhile, Janis was a good yard behind, yet he has a 4.4?

BJ Kelley Tweeted yesterday that somebody changed DAT's start method for the combine. I'd ask for my money back, if that's the case.
 
Based on that, the automatic times are wrong. Janis was at least that far behind Archer in what I saw, and he timed .18 slower, and not .03. :dunno:

I think it's irrelevant. Any scout can see that DAT is stupid fast. It's not a fluke that you see him blow past people and then leave them in his dust. I wouldn't worry about it if I was him.
 
Something is really fucked up with the official times at the Combine.

Here is Manziel against Kaepernick. Manziel was clocked at 4.68, and Colin at 5.53.

I would guess something is wrong with the superimpositions more than the timing device.

Nope, those are directly from the NFL Combine site. There is speculation that some players were triggering the clock before they actually started moving.

We'll the times are directly from the combine site too.
 
Latest word on this is that De'Anthony Thomas shoes messed him up. He apparantely has these special shoes he's used to and they wouldn't let him wear them at the combine, and that caused him to trip on his toes as you saw in the vid.
 
He ran a 4.34 a few times at the Oregon pro day.
