I would hate to have my board hacked.</div>This board had a fast growth spurt and was the best place to learn GFX too now it links to some sh*tty site with locked forums.

They are trying to bring it back and might take the hacker to court

lol I dont like thier chances in court. It is extremely hard to prosacute and win against a computer hacker- unless your the government, Generally they just get a "slap on the wrist"

I think its done now. The hacker hacked his AIM password and his Admin password.

I have like 500 posts there, I don't like it all that much though. Anyone know what version they were running?and do they not have backups?

Holy crap!! That was such a good site. They were 2.1.7, that's a pretty recent update - I wonder if this was one of the vulnerabilities that 2.2.x fixed.

2.2 didn't fix any vulnerabilities from 2.1.x, it was a whole new version which is from what I've heard more prone to security flaws actually

Judges just dont take forums seriously. Unless its national security they are going to say "naughty boy, dont do that again.:"

You guys were on 2.1.5 before, you were just asking to get hacked. 2.2 I'm sure has some exploits out, but 2.1.5 was so outdated, had some serious vulnerabilities. Just goes to show the importance of routine backups.

I'm sure Deadly has some of the database backed up so I wouldn't be surprised to see it resurface in the next few days once the admins get the word out where it is.

It should be on the owner's computer, I don't see why it hasn't been restored already if they have a backup.

One of my "internet buds" lol said he talked to the real owner and deadly is currently being restored. Since the admins accounts were deleted and the passwords were changed on the original deadly, it looks like we'll have to wait for a new domain name and everything to leak out to the public. I'm sure we will see Deadly back again shortly.

2.2 isn't as safe as most people think, you can still brute the admin passwords ez
