The Delaware 87ers (4-20) faced off against the Canton Charge (15-8) for the third time this season and earned a 109-99 win at the Bob Carpenter Center.
Rodney Williams led the way with 22 points while Ben Strong dominated the paint, dropping in 16 points and grabbing ten rebounds. Damien Saunders also contributed big in tonight's win with 18 points and nine rebounds. Leading 51-49 at halftime, the Sevens began the third quarter on an 11-2 scoring run. Canton's Arinze Onuaku (15 points, 12 rebounds) and Carrick Felix (14 points, 4 assists) tried to keep their team within reach, but the 87ers maintained the lead and never looked back. The 87ers are back in action tomorrow, Saturday, January 25, when they battle against the Charge for the second time in two nights. The game tips off at the Bob Carpenter Center at 7 p.m. E.T.
