Third-seeded Alexandr Dolgopolov of the Ukraine won just his second match of the ATP season with a 7-6 (7-4), 6-3 victory over Russian Teymuraz Gabashvili in the first round of the Delray Beach Open on Monday.

He was joined in the second round by wild card Denis Kudla, a 22-year-old resident of nearby Boca Raton, who beat Lukas Lacko of Slovakia 6-3, 6-4.

Marinko Matosevic ousted No. 2 seed John Isner 6-4, 6-4 in the first round of the Delray Beach Open on Tuesday.

Matosevic had never beaten Isner in three previous meetings, all in 2014.

On Sunday, the tallest tennis professional player on record did so again, hitting 13 aces and saving all seven break points he faced to beat Donald Young 6-3, 6-3 in the Delray Beach Open for his sixth career ATP Tour title.
