I say, no.

Our QB's get hit a lot and he knows full well he's always just a ply away. Another reason is that if it was as close as appears, Mariota is on a fairly short leash. I also think with the first 4 games against tomato cans, Bennett will see good playing time and if he impresses there could be a switch before mid season.

The problem with transferring within the conference is that you don't get any scholarship money the year you sit out.

Really?? I didn't know that. But then again, many kids have loans and I'm sure a booster or two will step up and help him out with summer jobs paying $500/hr.

Thomas was elusive. And when Costa got hurt they protected him a bit moire with less direct runs.
