I know this is like the equivalent of spring training for him but seriously, he just doesn't look right at the plate. I mean he's swing at pitches you couldn't reach with a broom handle. Hopefully he gets out of this funk soon.

When the end comes for a player it's usually swift and severe. The end is close for Jeter.

I think Jeter will be OK next year, unfortunately this year and in the position the Yankees are in they can't keep running him out there if he performs poorly at the dish. He did make nice fielding plays. I'm rooting for him to succeed, I've really missed him.

The reality is he's going to be 40 with a plate and screws in his ankle.

His timing is real bad, and trying to get it back against live MLB pitching in the middle of a playoff chase isn't going to help him or the team right now. Love Derek but he would be the first to agree if it wasn't him. I don't fault him, he has had a loss year due to leg and ankle.

Looks pretty good out there today, getting some good wood on the ball.

He needed a multi hit game today. And hopefully more to come before the end of the season. If he ends up above 250 I'll be happy.
