If you want to understand the disastrous cost of liberal policies, look no further than Detroit. This is the future of America if Obama succeeds . . .

To a lesser degree it's also part & parcel of unions and runaway pay & benefits. It's cost this country trillions of dollars.

Did you watch the video? That point was made several times. Labor unions go hand-in-hand with liberalism, and have played a major role in destroying Detroit.

Yeah, I saw it. I was just emphasizing the point.

I drove through downtown Detroit today. Its a damn shame how uglythis place is now.

The solution is simple, get some efficient, ass-kicking asians to run that place.

He'd have a point if he wasn't lying.

You can't ruin something that never existed.

In what fantasy world was Detroit ever a city to be proud of? Run by organized prime since it's founding day, has never been a nice place to visit, never mind (attempt to stay a)live in. Politicians of any party are nothing more than puppets for the crimelords.

Detroit back in 1961 (where this guy says it was a showpiece and the Dems started ruining it) was the worst city in America, 3 years deep into near total collapse from the 1958 Recession/Depression. That's why the Feds pumped $400 mil into it, the rightwing leadership and their crimelord bosses had turned it into a worldwide embarassment to our country and the Dems were determined to clean it up. I don't mean the union bosses and I don't mean the politicians and I don't mean the business community.

I mean the people who tell them what to do.

Although it went through several prosperous periods during the last 4 decades, mainly when industry boomed, the underlying problem has always been racism (Detroit is 82% black) and organized crime and nothing will ever change that.

Ah, yes, the "underlying problem" is always racism . . .

You know what Detroit's problem was tonight? Martell Webster!!!
