Perhaps it's hidden in some thread and I missed it. How many times must we bury this team before they just admit they're not as good as us? It's tiring.

Did you go to the rubechat forum and congratulate the Timberwolves fans after they beat us for the 2nd time a row to go up 2-1 over us in the season series? How many times must they bury us before you admit we're just not as good at the Timberwolves?

Look, I hate the Rockets and their fans. I hate their style of play that relies on deceiving the refs and that THEIR fans have the gall to actually complain about the officiating - EVER. But, baiting opposing fans is poor form and has a nasty way of coming back to bite you in the ass. Please stop, or at least confine the baiting to the already existing endless thread on the topic.

regardless of how shit this thread is. and it is pretty shit.

SB is a good poster and is welcome anytime. He doesn't have to congratulate us or anything - it's not like we here on the board won the game.... he's a passionate fan, as are we. Let's just be happy he's willing to have some good banter with a rival club and keep it that way.

I'd love to have more fans of other teams be regular respectful posters. Keeps things interesting.

Reminds me of the random "I hope Westbrook blows out his knee" comments I was noticing during the weeks leading up to Wes and his achilles. Might have been other players mentioned, maybe it wasn't Westbrook even. Point being that if we as a fanbase have learned our lesson about karma it doesn't mean all of us have.
 
Seriously, the guy is a knowledgeable poster who comes here to talk basketball. Let's not drive him away just because he's a fan of another team. He's made his affiliation clear. Talking shit about his team is one thing, but I see no need to call him out as an individual poster. He hasn't been disrespectful to us. Let's not be disrespectful to him.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, Superbeard is as good as you are going to get when it comes to rockets fans. Enjoy him, because he is our only chance to talk rockets ball with anyone other than a glorified 'Wilson'.

There's a line. You went over it, and it looks like there's a bevy of us in this camp that believes that.

So, in the end, it kinda looks like you may have over-reacted. I found the creation of this thread to be completely unnecessary, given SB's mostly tame posts.

If you root for a team that is not the Blazers and you post on this forum you should expect to get some shit. Nothing wrong with a fun thread that throws shit at a Sprockets fan.

There's a difference between trash talking and baiting another forum member. Talking shit about the Rockets and Rockets fans in general is acceptable, appropriate and should be wildly encouraged. Creating a thread to call out one specific poster seems like baiting to me. Superbeard is a registered member and fairly active poster here. His posts are always on topic and within the forum guidelines. Even though he chooses to root for an inferior team, he should still be welcome here.

This is how I feel.

I dunno, just seemed unnecessary to even create a thread. Had it been in the other Rocket thread, there would probably not be as much discussion about it. That's the line I was talking about.
