I know, I know. It's only summer league, but John Collins had 22 points and 10 rebounds for the Hawks tonight and looked pretty darn good. He was a guy we passed on to take Zach Collins.

Here's hoping that time will prove we made the right pick.

That name is far too close to John Canzano.

It's also worth noting that John Collins was taken at #19, which means we could have gotten him at #15 and kept our pick at #20.

You're right.

It is just summer league.

Yeah, once we trade Meyers we need Collins to be our lottery big man designated towel waver on the bench.
You need to give Collins a chance how can you elevaluate someone on 4 practices and summer league met more for guards and wings. Plus we got the worst guards to set up post players in the whole summer league.

We definitely picked the right guy... undersized PF like John Collins that can't shoot and don't play defense are a dime a dozen... maybe he will have a long career but his upside is limited. Zach Collins is a rare bread... 7' with elite defensive instincts and can hit the 3... he is 20 lbs and some experience away from being a star

Its called trolling. Some people get their rocks off on that kinda stuff.
It's nit trolling it was a redpectfully asked question. Our Collins has looked less than good so far. Doesn't mean he won't be all NBA in a few years. It's just an observation from what we have all seen. John Collins looked amazing. Why is it trolling to ask?

Well I for one am pissed that the team didn't draft Tatum. Or Taytum, however you spell his name. Damn you Olshey!

I knew that after 2 games in the summer league we would see that Collins is a 100% irreversible bust!

WHO IS WITH ME! OFF WITH HIS HEAD! DOWN GOES FRAISER!

Who has said that?

I like what Bolden and Semi are showing so far in SL, I wanted both those guys,

It's surely going to take several real NBA games for him to get used to the speed of the game and power of the players on the floor with him.

I don't think Summer League performance means much, though it would be nice to see him dominate.

The real hope is that he can give us 18 minutes/game of solid bench play.

If the blazers wanted to win Summer League yeah they probably picked the wrong Collins.

Man, you need to pay more attention to defense. If defense was more quantifiable and noticeable than offense, you would think Zach's played amazing and John has looked less that good.

Yep, John Collins has looked good on offense. No surprise there. He put up 22/10 yesterday, but the guy he was guarding went for 23/10. For a team that needs defense, that's a little too J.J. Hickson for me.
