Honestly, I think Dion will be a bust. I just never really saw that much from him at Oregon. Certainly not dominating as much as he should have if he's worth the #2 pick. The guy has so much potential but did he really do anything with it as a Duck?

I was surprised to see him #2 in so many mocks. I figured he might be a late 2nd or 3rd round pick because of his size and athetisism, but as nate said, he did not dominate. He was just good. But he really impressed with his work-out numbers....every year someone shoots up the charts because of workout numbers.

there is reason to think he may actually go #1 which some mocks have him at. It's not a secret that his Senior season was hampered by a severe shoulder injury, so maybe the NFL talent guys are projecting a little, but thats their job. DJ certainly brings eye-popping size/speed measurables, and everyone raves about his work ethic and football IQ. I've heard Aliotti claim as the Drop End in their varying schemes he was back in coverage 60% of the time. That doesn't lend to big sack or TFL numbers, but being able to effectively both come off the end and drop back is exactly why his stock is soaring. D-Coordinators value versatility because it allows them to mix up their looks with Zone Blitzes and different schemes which produces a more effective overall D. We shall see...

KC would rather put Alex Smith into the fire and increase the potency of his defense as a whole by not drafting Joeckel(but as chargers fan I am not gonna complain if he does not get LJ).
Jags need a new QB. All they got is Gabbert.
Oakland needs D-line/O-line/secondary help.
I can see DJ falling to Philly and reunite with Kelly.

I can see Jordan going to Oakland, which would be fantastic for me as a Raider fan. Oakland signing Kevin Burnett is a bit of a hint that they are transitioning to a 3-4 this year.
