What do you expect with your personal feelings of the Blazers offseason results?

Draft means Draft picks and Trades around the time of the draft
Free agency means Signings and Trades around the time of free agency

I don’t think there’s a trade package that will deliver the value that fans are expecting, and simply trading the pick will piss off #keepeverything people like me.

It’s a house divided but at least we’re not the Raptors or the Bulls fanbase.

I’d bet we can predict right now with pretty good accuracy what almost everyone’s ACTUAL feelings will be.

Ha exactly. We have historical data on our side that suggests we are never satisfied. And since this year there are so many more options, most of which are borderline fantasies, there is no doubt in my mind that the majority will not be satisfied this year either.

Exactly.

If the Blazers draft and free agency is a disappointment I've found another sport to follow.

It's been a long time since I was overwhelmed about any move the Blazers made. Drafting Sharpe was probably the most optimism I've had about a pick or trade in years, so history tells me I won't be that excited about the results..... but there is always hope, right?

I'm expecting to be disappointed by both; I'll be happily surprised if not.

I have low expectations. I'm not betting on us acquiring a star.

I'm going to be pissed if we trade the pick for a mediocre player.

I think we all agree there. Although I assume there will be disagreements on who is considered mediocre and who is considered very good. We debate about Brown and Siakam, (Bridges and his salary seem to make everyone happy) Who else that is rumored is worth #3?

I still kind of like absorbing Wagner with the TPE. (and #11) That still leaves us with some additional options.

This year wether we draft or trade or both is probably the most significant transformation year for the Blazers since we let Clyde go.

I don't think the Blazers will be blown away by offers for the pick, so I expect them to draft and keep Scoot, which is what I want - satisfied.

FA: I expect to be satisfied only because my expectations are so low. If we don't completely overpay some dork, I will be satisfied...

Not a bad scenario. I tend to agree with you about not being blown away by offers for the pick based on who we really want and need. It usually takes two to tango but in this case, it might take 3...... meaning we need to get that player re-signed to make the trade from being a disaster. So if we get Scoot (or Amen) then that is not horrible. It just delays a needed trade.

I'm going to speculate that I will be very satisfied with both. Go Joe Go!

To further speculate. I could see a scenario where we acquire Siakam or Bridges, another key bench FA, and draft a youngster to develop with a late pick. I could see us ( Blazers, Fans) acquiring Miller with #3, and trading for DeMar DeRozan & pick reconciliation, for Ant/ future 1st , and acquiring another top notch veteran talent for a couple of future, unlocked, picks as well. And a combo of other moves changing the pick, and talent involved to surround Dame with top notch talent. Positive vibes.

I don't really have expectations. The reality of the situation is that it's a tricky one, so anyone who expects Portland to hit a grand slam, wants to set themselves up to be let down.
It hurts the heart, and raises the blood pressure to think about that. My day to day pressures of paying the freight to survive deals that enough damage as it is. I went to the Lottery Party hoping and feeling good about it, and while we didn't get Wemby, we did move up. Good vibes and good times. I let what naysayers say bother me too much. I wish i could say it doesn't but it does.

I don’t get this. How can I be disappointed or satisfied about something that hasn’t happened yet? I think you mean are we worried or confident?

He just wants you to speculate how you think you will feel after it's over. Telling the future.

I want the Blazers to use the third pick to take the BPA and to look towards the future generally. I fear that they're going to move the pick in a lame attempt to make Dame happy, and so I expect to be disappointed by the draft-time moves.

I don't think free agency is relevant to the future of the team, as I don't care much about the immediate future, so I am indifferent about what they do there (although I suppose if they make another Payton-like move, I'll be disappointed (although if they can then move the Payton-like dude for future picks again, then I'll be happy)).

The draft lottery is a great example of a persons mindset. Those who truly felt bummed that the Blazers only got the #3 pick, had too high of exceptations in my opinion.

Enjoy the ride!
