If they get swept, they'll probably blow up the team, turn a page, start a new chapter. Pau and Lamar could be available. Are we interested in either?

NO. Never trade with the L*kers. That's rule #2.

That's what sucks. They probably will get Dwight Howard. Hell maybe Melo with force a trade to L.A. as well. Probably will be Lamar for Melo straight up too. It always seems just when you think the Lakers are done, some bastard superstar comes to town.

Lakers will trade you Luke Walton for your yet again broken down bust of a pick...stick that in your pipe and smoke it

Their core is old.

Bynum is as injury prone as Greg is.

Kobe is slowing down and is in the dying light of his prime.

Meh.

I dunno what all this Dwight to LA shit is. It isn't going to happen. If it does, please hold me to this promise that I will post a video of myself eating a picture of him on an 8x11 paper.

With dwight being a free agent in a little over a year it could be similar to Melo forcing a trade to the knicks if that's what dwight really wanted. I don't think magic fans could handle two HOF centers bolting for the Lakers.

I think Florida would declare war against California, and I suspect most of the country would stand back and let them. Those Floridians may be old, but they've fought wars. Get em back on the deck of the Missouri and they'll wreck some shit. Look out Cali!

dwight will team up with cp3 wherever has cap room

I've been assuming a Bynum-for-Howard swap will happen sometime before Howard reaches free agency. LA won't need both and Orlando would definitely rather have Bynum, in my opinion, than seeing Howard walk for nothing.

Then, Deron Williams will force a trade next season, and the Lakers will have Howard, Williams, and Bryant in their starting line-up.

Pau for Williams? If I were the Lakers, I'd probably rather deal Kobe for Deron. :) Gasol and Bryant are about equally valuable now and Gasol has more good years left, IMO.

Gasol seems to be complacent, and there is no way the Lakers would trade Kobe Bryant.

...and there is no way the Lakers would trade Kobe Bryant.

I agree, for sentimental reasons. If I were a GM, though, I wouldn't be operating from a sentimental basis.
