To the detriment of everyone in the country. Including that state. That is irrelevant. Corporations will locate where they get the best deal.
Highly unlikely. If all states had higher taxes you also might see more businesses leave the country.
Now if your point is to tax businesses instead of individuals, then fine. But Oregon taxes both highly. Meanwhile Oregon gets $0 sales tax from all the luxury spenders, travelers, etc that are totally willing to pay a very high tax. Just seems like a stupid way of running a state.
Doesn't Huntsville Alabama have one of the highest average IQ in the country?Lol who wants to live in Alabama? Businesses need to be able to recruit talented people too. Good luck doing that in Alabama.
The Army doesn't really give you a say and probably contributes. Yes, they have a Rocketman place. Huntsville seems to buck the trend. Overall Alabama is a bottom 5 state for iq, though. Because it suckssssss.Doesn't Huntsville Alabama have one of the highest average IQ in the country?
Largely thanks to Marshall Space Flight Center... But still...
Oregon taxes with market based sourcing. Just because a business is located in Oregon doesn't mean everything gets taxed there. Just the same as if someone is headquartered elsewhere. Most states have gone that way
Yes, that is different, but the mentality is the sameActually no. where they are talking about moving is 25 minutes from Chicago, not across the country or in a completely different time zone.
Have you been to Alabama? It’s incredibly beautifulLol who wants to live in Alabama? Businesses need to be able to recruit talented people too. Good luck doing that in Alabama.
I'm sure people in Alabama laugh at the thought of Oregon having nice areas just as oregonians here laugh at Alabama.Have you been to Alabama? It’s incredibly beautiful
Yes. So is Antarctica, but I wouldn't want to live there, either. Although, if given a choice, probably Antarctica. Penguins are pretty smart, I hear.Have you been to Alabama? It’s incredibly beautiful

Goes back to my point that most the world is convinced where they live is the best, even if they've never lived anywhere else.

That's like trying to convince one's self that Bar S hot dogs are legit.Have you been to Alabama? It’s incredibly beautiful
We all know San Diego is one of the premium spots in all of the USA. It's just very expensive.I'm sure people in Alabama laugh at the thought of Oregon having nice areas just as oregonians here laugh at Alabama.

So your answer is no, you have never been. That's like trying to convince one's self that Bar S hot dogs are legit.
Alabama is wonderful if you like humidity, an abundance of insects, poisonous snakes and residents who always seem angry, defensive and/or still fighting the Civil War......Mobile has a lot going for it though.....That's like trying to convince one's self that Bar S hot dogs are legit.
So your answer is no, you have never been.

I have and it sucks. It might look nice through a window from a nicely air-conditioned room, but even then, only if you got rid of all traces of humans. So your answer is no, you have never been.

Oh, and the food sucks. Fuck "Southern Cooking" - those people have no right ever to criticize British food.
(I lived in Central Arkansas for three years. Left and have never returned, or been remotely tempted to. NW Arkansas is great, but it would be a lot nicer if it weren't part of Arkansas.)

Humidity is the devil.Never been and it’s not on my travel bucket list. I’m sure it has many beautiful places, but when the temperature is 85 degrees, the humidity is 98%, and the mosquitoes are sucking you dry, who really gives a crap about how beautiful it is?
The only thing missing here is Patterson’s subterfuge comment

Better to have the fan base agglutinated. It would completely bifurcate the discussion into people taking it seriously versus people treating it as pure theater.
Humidity is the devil.
there's not as big a difference overall as there is in the state income tax. The left coast varies, a lotThe state income tax is pretty steep. Now I get that is employees but employers must pay that as well. There is a huge difference working in Oregon vs working in Washington.
Exactly. I break into a sweat just changing a lightbulb.
