Does anyone listen to Brian Berger?/ LMA rumor

I don't know who Brian Berger. I think if LMA thinks we aren't lottery bound next season, he's on some wild drugs or delusional.

He's a radio host on 750 The Game, and the "sports insider".

Dallas maybe? Can't say I blame him, but it's not like the team is not TRYING. You don't lose Roy and Oden in the same year and expect to be making the playoffs immediately. He's locked up for a a couple more seasons.

I wouldn't blame him if he wanted out. His age doesn't exactly fit the timeline of a rebuild all that well and he's definitely a valuable player who should be able to bring back some decent assets, so if the team really is headed for the dumps again, I'd be perfectly happy trading him for assets and then ensuring a decent lottery selection by losing most of the games over the last half of the season.

Do you think OKC would give up Harden/Ibaka for him? I have seen that trade suggestion on other sites before.

I've seen that suggestion too and no, I don't think they'd go for that. For one thing I think it would be incredibly unlikely for division rivals to make this kind of trade. But if OKC offered those two, it could make some kind of sense for both sides; OKC would get to consolidate their roster adding a versatile weapon in their front-court without being cap bound (which might also be needed to combat LA with Pau and Howard) and Portland would get a nice defensive 4 and a true playmaking 2 guard with ages more in-line with a rebuilding effort.

I just get the feeling Presti would never go for it. Despite Harden no-showing in the finals, I think he's probably still valued pretty highly within their organization

Yeah. I think its bs. They are building nicely around him. if this was true they shouldn't have resigned batum.

I would look to trade LMA only if an elite wing were to be included. With that said, I'm anxious to see how Lillard/Aldridge do together. They could be one of the best inside/outside tandems in the game in a couple of years.

I saw that Ziller garbage this morning and thought about posting what garbage it was. Just some random clown making random speculation.

If Aldridge isn't in the right age cohort for our rebuild as some say I'd still wait until our kids are a little more developed so we can make a better decision on who to trade him for. No sense jumping the gun on trading our best player who is still improving.

He's not THAT old. He's, what, 27? I think Lillard should be an established star by the time LMA is in his "prime". If Lillard is playing at an All-Star level in two or three years, Aldridge will be 29 or 30. That should be fine for making a push in the playoffs.

He just turned 27 less than a month ago. I really don't understand saying he's too old for the rebuild. He'll be the perfect age to be the leader of a playoff team when the rest of the guys are ready.

Aldridge will likely stay quiet for a year to see which/if any of the young pieces develop into solid NBA starters.

But if this team sucks with signs of little or very slow improvement, I suspect he will be looking to go else where.

Probably, but I don't know if a year is going to be enough for guys like Lillard and (particularly) Leonard to show enough. We'll see.

I listen to Berger and heard the whole thing.... It was completely hypothetical. No concrete facts or evidence

its LMA, who cares.... its not like hes going to be our clutch superstar this year, or next... hes a great number 2 option... always will be that, #2.

#2 to Lillard.

If LA is forced to play center a bunch due to our roster, I think THAT would be what makes him start asking for a trade.

He can call his position whatever he wants. I just want the guy to play in the post more.
