the one i hate the most is that we cant chew gum..but that will change next year in highschool

whats yours?

My old school had one of the worst rules ever created in the history of the universe. They forced kids to wear sweaters at all times, even on one day when it was over 30?c, one of my friends took his jumper off, and the principal saw him and sent him home, my friend went right off at the principal, claiming how ridiculous it was he was putting his moronic dress code over kids getting an education.

What's the point of that? Most rules have a purpose but I can't think of anyone that benefits from this rule.

No cellphones in school.

My first high school had drug tests for athletes. I failed those, three times, and was sent to a second school, a private one, that nearly bankrupted my parents and which also drug tested me, plus they made me cut my hair before it got long and made me shave every day. They also had penalties for when you got in trouble out of school, so every time I would get arrested, I'd get suspended at school as well. Those kind of inane bullsh*t rules really got on my nerves. I'm really glad I'm out of that place.

- No chewing gum

But I understand it's logic though. Some idiots usually just chew it and put it under the desks or on the seats, which pisses the sh*t out of me.

- No hats allowed in school

They assume everything is gang related. There's only one school that I know of in my city that allows kids to wear hats in school.

- No cellphones

It's allowed in the school, just not allowed to be turned on in class, which isn't a stupid rule at all, actually.

One of my teachers doesn't let me wear a brastrap (hairband) to her class (I use it sometimes when I'm too lazy to properly style my hair), nor does she allow black gloves, Scarface (or any hiphop slogan type) T-shirts and she'll give you a 10 hour lecture if you forget to take off your hat before entering her room.

Our librarian also likes to kick people out for absolutely no reason.

- no hats

- NO IPods, cd players, mp3's

- Cant wear the same color shirt and pants.

- Uniforms

Wtf?
dunno.gif
If you don't have a mandatory uniform dress code in your school (which I'm assuming you don't), why are they restricting what you match and don't match?

They consider it gang related cloths no matter what color it be even if its not red or blue.

no water bottles in class, is pisses me off wen its like 100 degrees out, but its cause kids would like pour water on each other, the cellphone rule got changed to, if they see you with a cell phone then you get suspended one day, its too harsh of a pentelty, but they dont allow em cause you can cheat using camara phones and stuff, idk thats what i was told, and TEACHERS ARENT ALLOWED TO GIVE STUDENTS CANDY! is pissed me off on haloween

Damn yall would love my HS/College, so much freedom, I love it! There are really no rules like you guys have.

My school doesn't allow cellphones, Ipods, mp3s etc just like every school in Brooklyn. Of course students always bring them and unless the teachers catches them, they don't take it away. Most teachers are nice and if they see it, they just ask them to put it away. Other than that there aren't any big rules.

-No wearing hats in school but you can bring them.
-No wearing beads. Now that's stupid...I guess.

Woah I guess you weren't a model student. That's a lot of crap.

well i dont really love the idea that we have office detention everytime we are late to school or to a class

My school's really lenient. We have 1-5 hour breaks in which you can hang out at school, or leave campus to do whatever you want. I think they're trying to ban iPods but they're not really enforcing it, everybody brings theirs anyway. I mean the students at my school are spoiled, kids complain a little much because when the school first started they didn't even have grades, you could make your own schedule, etc.

"Every time I would get arrested" wtf?? Suge Knight is that you?
Most of these rules are pretty good.
If there's one thing more annoying than a bunch of 15-year old kids, it's 15-year old kids popping gum and playing their cellphone ringtones.

Well my school thinks were all raging alcoholics so we're not allowed to bring in water or anything to drink because they think we're gonna put vodka in it. Last year we were allowed to eat and drink in school but now we cant do either. Girls also cant carry tote bags to and from class with their books in it because boys can't carry bags. Except this one gay kid who no one seems to notice his bright green bag he carries daily.

You just reminded me of my English teacher.

we aren't allowed to let ANYONE in any door from outside besides the main entrance. I find it really funny since no one will follow this stupid rule.

haha tat hilaroius..also one think i forgot to say is when i was in 6th grade i got a detention for spilling milk at lunch and leaving it unatended

No chewing gum
Everyone does it anyways.

Wow, some of your schools are strict.

I don't really have enough time to write them all, lol. I'll write as many as I can:

<ul>
[*]No mobile phones.
[*]No MP3 players, walkmans etc.
[*]Hair must not be below grade 3 or cover ears.
[*]No facial hair (headmaster gave my classmate a razor to shave during school last year. He has left since and it's funny because he has the bushiest mustache ever.)
[*]No hooded sweatshirts to be taken to school.
[*]No sweatshirts/jackets with large logos to be worn.
[*]Uniform: White shirt, school tie, black jumper, black trousers, black socks, black shoes. Shirt must always be tucked in and top button done up (even if it's 30+ Centigrade). Tie must reach belly button.
[*]If you are caught breaking these rules even whilst walking to or from school it is grounds for detention.
[*]No gel in hair.
[*]No colour in hair (highlights, dye etc). Once somebody bleached their hair during the 6 week summer holidays. The night before the first day back, the bleach had not gone, so they cut it as short as the school would allow, but it was still visible. So, they put gel in their hair, as it darkens it so you can't tell. They got to school and were made to wash the gel out. Then, when they saw it had bleach in, they put him in isolation (internal exclusion). He got home, and his mother phoned the school to explain the situation. She asked if they could dye it back to the original colour (because they would'nt allow him to keep it how it was and then the reply was 'no, we don't allow dye'. WTF is up with that?
[*]No livestrong bands/anything like that.
[*]No neck chains.
[*]No ear-rings.
[*]No rings.
[*]No jewellary other than watches or medical notices (on neck chains).
[*]P.E. uniform (which you change into and out of, some foreign shcools don't): white t-shirt, black shorts, white socks, white trainers for indoor P.E. Red rugby shirt, black shorts, black long socks, football boots, shin pads (if necessary).
[*]No mucking around on buses (else you'll be banned from it).
[*]Bus costs ?1 ($1.60 ish)
[*]Seating plans in lessons - you are told where to sit for which lessons.
[*]Must stay in school all day.
[*]5 lessons per day, 1 hour each; not time between lessons (except for 20 minute break and 35 minute lunch). Must be in school for 8:25. If you are late, you will have your name taken down by senior prefects (ME!) and have to see Deputy Head at break time.
[*]School years 7 (12 year olds) to 9 (14 year olds) must do litter duty around the school for two weeks per year (break and lunch) even if they do nothing wrong.
[*]No eating or drinking inside school building other than canteen.
[*]No chewing gum.
[/list]

That's aboutall I can think of now. This is a secondary school in England (no cost, not private) and is boys-only, another thing I hate. Oh well, it's my last year before two years at sixth-form college and then off to Uni.

holy crap.
is breathing allowed?

My school is pretty bad.

- Uniforms (navy polo and khakis).
- Socks must go two inches above shoe.
- Hair cannot touch collar of shirt.
- Guys must keep their facial hair shaved.
- Shirt must be tucked in at all times.

They tried to make everyone have their natural hair color but tons of girl's parents freaked out and they got rid of that rule.

No girls (though there's tri-school classes first period and they're always using our campus after school). Other than that they've got the normal rules; no cell phones during class even though some teachers don't care, no MP3 players but that isn't enforced during free periods, no gum, etc. Since its an all guys school the teachers cuss and say all kinds of sexist and otherwise "inappropriate" stuff during class and alot of classes the kids just start talking about sports with the teachers and watching videos from Ebaum's world on the projector, I've also got a teacher who steals peoples un-opened Gatorades form the sports bags and downs them in front of the whole class.

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">No girls</div>

How do you survive that?
My first high school barely had any girls, the girls that were there, were ugly as hell. I almost died.

Thank god I transferred to a different high school.

[Borat] They do not allow you to put camera in the lady toilet. [/Borat]

Live in San Bruno but the school is in San Mateo.

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">How do you survive that?</div>

Like I said they're all over the place before and after school but I hate 95% of the people at my school and the girls that hang around there. I know most of the girls in my grade who go to the public school in the city I live in because I went to middle school with them and they're not rich, spoiled, ignorant-of-the-real-world bitches like the ones who go hang around my school.
