Good news for the Bobcats I suppose

Bobcats gotta be pissed they're getting such a shitty pick for Gerald Wallace, who was still good when he was traded.

So Portland gave up a one-legged Joel Przybilla (I love you, Joel), Dante Cunningham, Sean Marks, New Orleans' pick in 2011 (No. 19, which was Tobias Harris, traded on draft day to Milwaukie), and the No. 24 pick in the 2014 draft for Gerald Wallace. Gerald Wallace was then dealt for what amounted to Damian Lillard (plus Memo Okur and Shawne Williams, neither of whom ever donned a Blazers jersey).

Drafting is such a crap shoot, and the odds of finding a stud at No. 24, even in a draft as deep as the 2014 draft, are quite slim. So slim, that nobody, EVER (not even in an alternate universe) would accept Przybilla, Cunningham, Marks, a No. 19 pick, and a No. 24 pick in exchange for 23-year old rising star Damian Lillard. Not even if all of those players were in the peaks of their NBA careers, and the drafts were as deep as the 2014 draft class (or some other year considered super-deep).

Sure, we still needed to make the selection at No. 6, but hot damn.
