Drugs: A multi-billion-dollar industry that fuels crime and violence like no other substance on the planet. Turning cartel leaders into billionaires, the illegal drug industry also provides vital income to hundreds of thousands of poor workers across the globe. While some users sacrifice their lives to an addiction they can't escape, others find drugs to be their only saving grace from physical or emotional pain almost impossible to overcome. Where should the lines be drawn in this lucrative industry?
I watched some old episodes today and it was pretty interesting. Makes me wonder why anyone would want to legalize drugs.
Because the war on drugs is killing thousands more people (see Mexico) than the drugs would themselves if they were legalized and administered by the govt.

so everyone wants weed legalized because they realize its harmless and a huge drain on a government budgets
yet its not happening, i wonder why?
...there is a lot of BIG money behind the prohibition of the devil's weed, all about massive profits. Same reason why other huge lobbyists are able to guide policies to their most profitable advantages.

There is no reason why any drug should be illegal. In a free country you should be able to harm your body how you see fit so long as it doesnt hurt someone else. The act of doing a drug shouldnt be illegal, the illegal acts of maintaining an addiction should and are illegal. Drug war money would be much better spent on rehab and education. Its a social problem not a legal one.
And therein lies the main problem. It does hurt others.
aww so does alcohol and world of warcraft
aww so does alcohol and world of warcraft
And your point is? That because we already have things that people use to hurt other innocent people that we must add more? Got that one.
Someone more knowledgeable help me out: let's say it gets legalized nationwide. I've only seen the "legit" shops and dealers in Grass Valley and in the Seattle area, and I haven't been impressed with their operations or controls (and I think a bunch got shut down). Is there a "Weed Wal-Mart" or "Marijuana Anheuser Busch" waiting to start working the market, collecting all this revenue and paying taxes on time?
whats your point? that there shouldnt be any new video games? got it
do we really need the government to hold our hands?
are you also in favor of limiting the size of soft drinks?
diabetes kills alot more people than weed ever has
Death from diabeties (and it's complications)- USA 200,000, Worldwide 4 million
Death from drug overdose- USA 435,000, Worldwide 2.5 million
