I know it's all in fun. But as a neutral party, I'd say I wouldn't want to start patting myself on the back and making fun of OSU just yet.
1) They'll have the Civil War at home and could cause you some pain for years to come. And,
2) They have the Rodgers bros both coming back next year and LaMichael James likely will declare for the NFL, so the two teams will flip-flop positions of power next season. I don't care how good your coach or your system is, you're not going to hold a candle to two NFL caliber players who both come back to play as seniors and your team will have a first-year starter at RB.
Just saying...
Fair enough. #1, in particular, is true. I like the Beavers (not as much as the Ducks, but I have no ties to either school other than that I grew up in the state) and they are a pretty good team... there will be lots of time for Ducks fans to gloat if/when Oregon wins the Civil War.
Regarding #2... I dunno. James is a sophomore in his third year and very good, but... he's small. He's not Jonathan Stewart as far as physical attributes go, and I would be surprised if he's not back for his junior year, at least.
