Ducks debut Helmet Cams at practice

That's an interesting development. Of course, the best QB's look off the defenders before they deliver the pass, so perhaps if the camera is too focused on the receiver, that's something they could correct.

This is kind of cool, so I really see no reason to hate on the Ducks here, although maybe a "I wonder who bought them those cameras" jab may fit here...

I would guess that they are mainly using to make sure they have their progressions right and they are looking off receivers...

lol you mean you werent one of the 500 flaming comments under the article? lol jk I know you arent like that. but yes I agree on what it offers. But it also offers Chip Kelly a nice view of what its like from the eyes of his most important play making position. Dare I say he can get even more innovative on offense? :D

I think this idea is going to spread. The more I think about it, the cooler I think the technology is.

I'm a Beaver fan and I think it's a good idea.

Granted, your head and eyes are not always pointed in the same direction, but you get an idea of how they read the play. Plus you record and review later. That begs the question though - has no one thought of video taping the QB from "in front"?
