Durant vs. BRoy

A friend of mine is convinced Durant is better than BRoy. There are so many stats to prove otherwise it's almost pointless arguing with him. I told him Durant isn't better RIGHT NOW but definitely has the potential to be better in the future. Either way Durant's team is absolutely terrible and will be until they collect a few more lottery picks and their young guys develop a little more. What do you guys think?

Durant is better than Roy right now, even though he's not as good of a distributor and probably doesn't make teammates better, there's no doubt in my mind that Durant's combo of length, scoring, and pure shooting make him a better all-around player than B-Roy.

That's not a knock on Roy, it's just the truth.

For what Durant is (a scorer who is a nightmare to cover) he's superior enough to Roy's all-around game that I give him the slight edge ... as for him not winning, maybe you haven't noticed, but the Thunder are playing pretty damn well.

Ok we'll see at the end of the year. If Durant is more efficient than Roy and his team makes the playoffs I will be more than happy to concede this argument. Until then we can disagree.

Durant has rediscovered the fire he played with in college. By contrast, Roy seems to be playing with less emotion than ever.
