There was brief excitement when Dwyane Wade was linked to the New York Knicks in free agency, but such a marriage was reportedly never more than a pipe dream.
According to Marc Berman of the New York Post, Wade coming to New York was “pure fantasy” from the start, with an NBA source calling the prospect “so ridiculous.”
The Knicks are operating on a budget, particularly after the additions of Joakim Noah and Derrick Rose, and Wade’s demands of $20 million are unrealistic.
