This is the list of players who qualify for use a) are on an expiring contract and b) make less than $871,000 (50% E-Will's salary + $100,000)

Sacre looked good in the preseason game against the Blazers, but I don't see the Lakers letting him go.
 
likely just a formality in applying for it. Doubtful we use it.
 
Since the DPE is only a cap exception (rather than a roster spot exception), the fact that we already have 15 players on our roster and still have the room exception (which is much larger than the DPE) essentially renders it worthless. The ONLY it would be of any value would be if we were trading for one of the players in the OP, AND the other team insisted on doing so without taking back another player in return.
