Seems like a lot to me, is it really all that unusual? We have:
  • #6 - Kaman
  • #6 - Lillard
  • #8 - Aminu
  • #9 - Vonleh
  • #10 - McCollum
  • #11 - Leonar_
  • #12 - Henderson
  • #13 - Davis
Plus two more first rounders
  • #15 - Harkness
  • #22 - Plumlee
Then, in the second round
  • #31 - Crabbe
  • #41 - Connaughton
  • #54 - Diaz (is he even on the roster?)
and Frazier was undrafted.

Diaz is not on the roster, and you forgot Montero, who was undrafted.

The last time I can recall having so many lotto picks on the roster were back in the Jail Blazers days.....

I was thinking the same thing. If we perform as well as those teams this year I'll eat all my hats.

We just need to trade Kaman for the #7 pick of a and we are good to go?

In my mind only, Plumlee is a lottery pick. Why? He made the all-rookie team.

We already tried to get one (Greg Monroe, #7 pick 2010), but he turned us down.

Think Sacramento is ready to give up on Ben McLemore (#7 pick 2013) yet?

Plumlee is also the only one of the new guys whose former team will regret losing him.

I dunno. I like what I saw from Vonleh. He has some potential. It might take a year or two, but I like him.

As far as Plumlee, he's the new acquisition that I could see taking the biggest step forward this year.

He makes 3.3 mil next season. We have cap scape so we could trade just about any contract... Montero?
I doubt they're looking to just give him away. I imagine they'd require some sort of decent return. Kaman likely doesn't cut it.

Edit: here's a three way deal with Milwaukee and Sacramento that would return McLemore (a #7) and Henson (a #14) and somehow makes all three teams worse. That's an accomplishment! :)

Id trade Hendo for him. They'll probably want shooters around Rondo though.

EDIT: Just remembered they got Caron Butler and Belinelli. Plus they still have Caspi and wI'll likely play some 2PG lineups with Collison and Rondo. They could use another vet like Henderson.. Hell I'd throw in Crabbe and a future pick and I think that deal gets done.

Kaman won't get it done when they have Cauley-Stein, Kofous, and Cousins that can play center.

I think they want Von because they already got enough wings

That's why I brought Milwaukee in, sending Mayo over to Sactown. Supposedly the Bucks want to get rid of him, but maybe the Kings would think they could succeed surrounding Rondo with a big-3 of Mayo, Rudy, and Boogie. That's basically the same as Ray-Ray, Pierce and KG, right? :)

With his defenze, can Davis move over to center sometimes to spell Mason? Was watching video and he's a pretty thick dude!

I assume so. I see Plumlee/Davis as our centers and Leonard/Vonleh as our power forwards, but they're all basically interchangeable.

I would say that is very possible. Seems to me we are actually better suited to playing a lot of small-ball.

Keep in mind that in Dallas Aminu sometimes swung over to guard PFs. You could run a "big" team (Plumlee and Leonard) and a "small" team with Davis at the 5 and Aminu at the 4. Maybe with Crabbe at the 3?

How bout this:
Blazers Get: Ben McLemore, Future 2nd (SAC)
Clippers Get: Chris Kaman, Eric Moreland, Pat Connaughton
Kings Get: Jamal Crawford

Clips get the backup center they need in Kaman, who was an allstar there once. They also get more big man depth with Moreland.
Kings get their 6th man in Crawford.

Then Henderson, Crabbe, and SACs future 2nd for Ross and Caboclo

McLemores your starting 2, Ross is your backup 3. Both are athletic, both can shoot. Getting both is unrealistic, bit those are the 2 guys I'd target

Pretty sad that Sacramento will be better than us.

I think he is up to 240 lbs now. I guess it will depend on the match up.
