Seattle had a log jam of young seven footers and there was no place for Moore. New Jersey suddenly needed a reserve big man as insurance after Josh Boone separated his shoulder. Now, Moore is starting in the absence of Nenad Krstic and Rod Thorn is smiling, reports Chris Ekstrand of Sports Illustrated.</div>

I like Moore. He is a great hustle player and has filled the role of Krstic well.

Moore has really surprised me. I never knew that a guy who's lived off 10 day contracts for most of his NBA career (he had one with the Nets, too, I believe) could shoot over 60% from the field and grab 6-10 rebounds a game like that. He's giving us everything we need from a big man, other than some blocks. I'm not saying that we need to stop the search for a good big man, but I don't see how bringing in a guy like Melvin Ely will help us anymore, as Moore has been excellent so far.
