I don't know how to show what you picked, but I picked 311-227 Obama.

Although my gut tells me it'll be closer. But I have Oregon, Washington, California, Nevada, Colorado, New Mexico, Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, Virginia, WDC, Maryland, Massachusetts, Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Connecticut, Delaware, New Jersey, and Hawaii all going for Obama.

Of those, I think Ohio and Virginia could go McCain (and make it 278-260). But while Ohio and Virginia could go McCain, Florida might go Obama.

Obama wins Penn., NM, Nevada, NH. McCain wins the rest.

269-269. That would suck, although Obama would win through Congress, correct?

My real guess is 325-213.

Yes, I believe the House would vote on the President and the Senate would vote on the Vice President. The Democrats have the majority in both houses of Congress.

Mildly funny would be Obama and Palin ending up as the administration. Not "ha ha" funny, but "Wow, Palin would sure be an embarrassing VP" funny.

Would be funny if they voted for Hillary as VP instead of Biden. If that's possible...

Barack better win Ohio.

I just waited in line for 4.5+ hours to do the early vote thing.

I feel so damn lucky to live in Oregon. Why other states don't do vote-by-mail is a mystery to me.

They actually do have vote by mail in Ohio, but I wanted to get to the polls. However, I never anticipated that the lines would be so long.

Yes, Obama would easily win thru Congress. However, there would be mud slinging and back room deals would abound. That would be fun!

The House selects the president and the Senate selects the VP (maybe I have it backwards) and they can choose anyone they want. Meaning they could choose Obama/Palin.

Last time it was tied, they formed a commission of house, senate and supreme court and selected Rutherfraud B. Hayes in a smoke filled back room kind of deal. The republicans gave up Reconstruction in exchange, which set back civil rights 100 years.

there's always a deadline by which to request the ballot by mail. Here in FL, I think it was no later than a month prior to the election.

Not here!

oh, that's interesting. I've been going under the assumption that this was why the lines at the early voting locations are so long.

It may well be.

Here in Oregon, we have no polling places. All voting is done by mail, and the ballot just automatically comes to your mailbox (if you are registered to vote).

Although I could see Obama thinking, "Well, she's not very bright, but at least she doesn't constantly put her foot in her mouth."

I have 364 EV to 174 EV...although I will make my final one tomorrow morning most likely.

I have Obama winning Nevada, Colorado, Missouri, Ohio, Virginia, North Carolina, and Florida out of the swing states.

McCain winning Arizona, Montana, North Dakota, Indiana, and Georgia out of the swing states.

338 EV for Obama. I see both Ohio and FL going for Obama, along with Navada, Arizona and Colorado. But I see McCain getting MT, ND, GA, NC, IN WV and most likely MO. I actually bet a friend a couple months ago that Obama would win, and we bet $5 per electoral vote. This was back when we thought it was going to be a real close election. I thought at the time, that one of us would owe the other $20-$50, but if my prediction is right (338), then I'll be winning $345. Go Obama.

Make sure you report that income. If you're lucky, under an Obama Administration, you may actually see $10-$12 of that $345. ;)

338 right now with Montana, NC, Indiana, Missouri left. I think GOD is the winner.
