I guess if you think it makes sense. But if it really makes sense, why didn't Portland just buy Miami's #18 pick instead of trying to work their way up the hard way?

Because Miami wants Beasley's contract off their cap as the price for taking #18. They need to clear cap space to try to get another player alongside Wade.

I don't think that's true. They have only 4 people under contract right now, none of whom make a ton of money.

Well if you think so, but most of the rumors out there are stating they are willing to sell it to whoever for 3 million bucks, no Beasley attached.

Boy none of the players mentioned for POR excite me AT ALL..... Elliot Williams? Solomon Alabi? Kevin Seraphin?

Underwhelming at best....

I would rather see them go ater guys like Avery Bradley, James Anderson, Eric Bledsoe or Dominique Jones...

Elliot Williams

I like it.

Another 21 year-old sophomore, though. Weird.

:)

Ed O.

First non-Euro selected by the Blazers in the 20's in years, unless he's not ours.

The guys our scouts have picked in the past have been solid, so I trust they made a good choice again today. We have no reason to doubt them.

i always like uber-athletes. hope he has the rest of the tools.

i really like the williams pick, but i doubt he stays. If he does i'd be happy though.
