The Iowa Energy defeated the Fort Wayne Mad Ants 104-101 Thursday night in Fort Wayne.

The Mad Ants led the entire first half, taking a 47-45 lead into halftime. Jarvis Varnado tied the game at 49 with a 4' pull-up jumper midway into the third quarter. The game went back and forth until the 1:30 mark in the third quarter when Othyus Jeffers led the Energy on a 7-0 run to take a 77-69 lead into the final period.

The game featured twelve ties and nineteen lead changes as the two teams battled back and forth all night. The game was tied at 89 with just under six minutes to play in the game, and the Energy pulled away with the 3 point victory.

The Energy were led by Jeffers' 28 points and 14 rebounds, with Kalin Lucas adding 21 points and Patrick Christopher chipping in 16 points and 11 rebounds. Varnado, who leads the league in blocks per game, added nine more to his season total, along with 8 points.

Ron Howard led Fort Wayne with 24 points, while Ramon Harris contributed 18 points and 11 rebounds, and Sadiel Rojas turned in a double-double as well with 15 points and 10 rebounds.

The Energy improve to 5-1 on the road, and 5-2 overall.
